Otis Redding Foundation Receives Generous Grant From the Griffith Family Foundation
It was announced on June 26, 2019 that the Otis Redding Foundation along with 37 other community and service organizations received grant awards from the Griffith Family Foundation. More specifically, the Foundation was awarded $8,000 for Camp DREAM and the Otis Redding Center for Creative Arts ($4,000 for each program).
The Foundation is especially grateful for this generous grant as it will aid the Otis Redding Foundation in continuing Otis’s legacy of providing music education to the youth through initiatives such as Camp DREAM and the Otis Redding Center for Creative Arts. Foundations like the Griffith Foundation support foundations and gives them the ability to effectively function and operate.
The announcement was held at the Community Church of God located at 5555 Bethesda Ave, in Macon, Ga. The Griffith Family Foundation was founded in 1993 by Benjamin Griffith III. For 25 years the foundation has contributed over $50 million to support projects, programs, and community organizations that create economic mobility, provide educational opportunities, and enhance artistic and cultural endeavors.
