The King of Soul Music Festival is a two night event in Downtown Macon, that takes place in September

This festival celebrates the legacy of Otis Redding and his continual impact on music and culture

All proceeds from the festival support the Otis Redding Foundation’s programs at the Otis Redding Center for the Arts

An Evening of Respect

Night one is a formal gala filled with award presentations, and special musical performances honoring the King of Soul.

Big ‘O’ Homecoming Show

Night two is a let-loose concert that features soulful, high-energy performances that you can’t help but dance along with. This concert pays homage the homecoming shows that Otis Redding had in Macon at the end of his tours.
