OTIS REDDING FOUNDATION HOSTED 5th ANNUAL O’TIS THE SEASON HOLIDAY BENEFIT CONCERT AND FUNDRAISER

Macon, GA, (December 6, 2022) - The Otis Redding Foundation hosted their 5th annual end of the year holiday fundraiser and concert, at the Hargray Capitol Theatre on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in support of music and arts programs for their students. The concert featured a series of special performances from the Otis Redding Foundation’s students and coaches. In addition, there were guest performances from soul singer, Kim Michael Polote, local Macon band Charles Davis & the Velvet Sound, soul singer Reese Soul, Kali Dance Studio, The DREAM Team and the World-Famous Rap Room. "We had a fantastic night at the O'Tis The Season Holiday Fundraiser," stated Karla Redding-Andrews, Vice President and Executive Director of the Otis Redding Foundation.  We raised over $15,000 for the foundation which will support the new Otis Redding Center for the Arts. We'd like to thank our sponsors, All-State Electrical, BTTB Inc., Bob Lewis and Associates, 13 WMAZ and The Piedmont Macon Medical Center." Karla was especially thankful to Jacob Patton, CEO of All-State Electrical, who donated $7500.00 dollars. All-State Electrical is also donating some of their services for the electricity at the new Otis Redding Center For The Arts.Proceeds from the concert will fund student programs including, OTIS Music Camp June 5 – June 17, 2023 and Camp Dream July 10 – July 14, 2023. The funds raised will also support the new Otis Redding Center for the Arts in Macon. The city-approved 15,366 square foot space will bededicated to music education, learning labs, collaborative spaces, practicerooms and a stage for student performances.
