Otis Music Camp 2018: DAY 1

We started our day with coach and camper introductions then went into genre break downs. Each camper chose what genre of music they wanted to learn more about but will also have the option to jump into different groups!

Georgia Artists of the Day

Each day we will be focusing on an artist who is a Georgia native. Today the campers learned about the one and only, Otis Redding, and his sons and their group, The Reddings.

Coaches of the Day: James and Keniqua

James Ruffin is one of newcomers! He is an uprising senior at Mercer University. He is from Opelika, AL, and his future plans following graduation from Mercer is to attend graduate school with a focus on vocal performance.

Keniqua Smith is one of veterans, she has been with us for six years! The Jamaica native has been playing the saxophone for nine years and singing for five years. She recently moved to Massachusetts to become a Youth Praise and Worship Leader. Smith has a passion for music. She is so excited for the opportunity to share it with the campers. This will be her fifth year with the Otis Music Camp, but her third year as a counselor.
