Macon names new trolley "Dreams To Remember" in honor of Otis Redding

The announcement was made about noon Monday in front of The Otis Redding Foundation on Cotton Avenue.The event was attended by Redding’s widow, Zelma, and children Karla Redding-Andrews and Otis Redding III.

Zelma Redding co-wrote the song “Dreams to Remember” with her husband.

Terrell Sandefur, owner of Macon’s SoChi Gallery, came up with the idea to name the trolley in a tribute to the late soul singer, who had hits with songs such as “Try a Little Tenderness,” “These Arms of Mine” and “(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay.”Read more here
