The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has awarded the Otis Redding Foundation a multi-year grant totaling $200,000 for 2021-2023. The grant will support the Foundation’s planning process for a new Otis Redding Center for Creative Arts that will house the Foundation’s current programs and expand to offer afterschool programs year-round.

“This is a very exciting time for us,” says Karla Redding-Andrews. “Thanks to this funding, we will be able to have the resources to spend 2021 creating a viable plan for our new Center, from the way the new space will look and feel, to how we will utilize every square inch to offer the best music and arts programs for our young people in this community. We can’t wait to create a space just for them!”
